									<p><strong>Description</strong><br> In this workshop, we peep into the terminal, for command line based maintenance and routine tasks a server needs to support our (human) interactions. By showcasing some of the maintenance care we do over systerserver, we see how-to do sys-admining with shared terminal sessions, configure security updates, email notifications, minimal firewall setup, cron jobs, and restricted root privileges for backups or other sensitive processes. What makes a server feminist and how w<br> e allocate labors in such affective infrastructures form the baseline of the workshop. How to nurture safe spaces, and subvert tech expertise based organizational relics by imagining novel roles of responsibilities, are some of the methodologies borrowed from a feminist pedagogy, and will be discussed during this session.<br> <br> <strong>Bio</strong><br> Mara Karagianni (<a href="https://mara.multiplace.org/" target="_self">https://mara.multiplace.org/</a>) is a developer, sysadmin and artist. Their work swings between computational and analogue media for publishing, zine and print-making, to python programming, and writing manuals for sysadmin tasks to more cultural and gender critique based texts about internet technologies and FOSS. They are part of the feminist servers anarchaserver (<a href="https://anarchaserver.org/" target="_self">https://anarchaserver.org/</a>) and systerserver (<a href="https://systerserver.net/" target="_self">https://systerserver.net/</a>), where they host mailing lists, code repository, wiki and streaming and archive interfaces for video based events and experimental artworks about cyber and techno-feminism.</p>
