LoRA "The Incredible Hulk (2008)” by BigHeadTF (https://civitai.com/models/1266100/the-incredible-hulk-2008)

SHAPE researchers Christian Ulrik Andersen, Nicolas Malevé, and Pablo Velasco are hosting a workshop on AI image generation on September 19 and 20. The event is open to everyone, and you can choose the day that suits you best; both workshops will have largely the same content. The Saturday workshop on September 19 will be held in collaboration with Code&Share.

Times:

  • Friday, September 19: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 20: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In connection with the workshop, a publication will also be launched, which serves as a kind of travel guide, as well as an accompanying wiki on the subject.

About the workshop:
Participants will be introduced to the social and technical systems that support generative AI image creation. The researchers' approach focuses on both the technical components and the social practices surrounding AI, including open source services and communities working with AI images outside of commercial platforms such as DALL-E, Midjourney, and Google's Gemini.

The workshop presents results from the researchers' study of AI image generation. This includes maps, diagrams, interfaces, material components, and an introduction to the LoRA technique, which is used to adapt models to individual needs. The workshop examines not only the technical elements, but also the underlying norms, expectations, and shared visual cultures that shape generative AI images.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop, if possible.
