As part of the AIAS Seminar series, AIAS-SHAPE Fellow Jan Løhmann Stephensen gave a presentation at AIAS (Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies) on November 4th, 2024, about his research project ‘Chat Democracy: AI, Democratic Talk, and a New Shared Language’.

The presentation centered around the three themes of technology, language, and democracy, which are all focal points in Jan's research. The project asks questions such as what kinds of publics and communities will emerge when discussions on political issues become entangled with and assisted by AI-driven ‘info-discursive auxiliaries’? To investigate this, the three themes mentioned above are topical and significant to concentrate on.
