Rasmus Kornbek is new research assistant in SHAPE
As a research assistant at SHAPE, Rasmus will be working with Centre Director Peter Lauritsen to investigate the history of the social security number.
Rasmus Kornbek holds an MA in Comparative Literature from Aarhus University with a bachelor's elective in museology. He is experienced in working with historical material and literature search, digital collections, archives and museum databases from former positions in the museum industry.
In SHAPE, Rasmus will be researching the history of the social security number in a project led by Peter Lauritsen. The project will map the development of the enormous data infrastructure that CPR has become, as well as the decision-making processes that have been decisive for the development of the social security number in Denmark. In addition, the project will also describe the public and political debate that the social security number has been subject to and map controversies surrounding the use of the CPR. The project will also help to actualise the historical development of the social security number in the light of contemporary social debates about the CPR.
