The project aims to advance our knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a citizen in a society where we have an increasingly extensive digital representation—a ‘digital double’—in public systems.
The project’s focal point is to explore how citizenship is affected and transformed by digitalisation, with particular emphasis on the experiences of vulnerable citizens and the different types of vulnerability they face.
The project will actively engage citizens and contribute to the public discourse on how digital infrastructures and data influence society, democracy, citizenship, and subjectivity. Its goal is to shed light on the possibilities, power dynamics, and policies embedded in datafication and digital infrastructures. In doing so, the project helps ensure access to knowledge and opportunities for meaningful debate in the public sphere.
