SHAPE collab: Student's dialogue route ‘Kønsneutralt CPR-nummer? launched by OpdagAarhus app, Aarhus Municipality
A collaboration between SHAPE and the AU graduates Julie Risager and Lukas Lindgren has resulted in the digital conversation route 'Gender-neutral CPR number?', which has recently been released on Aarhus Municipality's free app Opdag Aarhus.
Since the two graduate students, Julie Laura Risager (MA in Rhetoric) og Lukas Oliver Lundgren (MA in Philosophy) participated in the course Humanistic Innovation during their master studies, they have been developing the digital project with the aim of facilitating democratic dialogues between citizens. Their work has now turned in to a digital dialogue route called 'Kønsneutralt CPR-nummer?' (Gender Neutral Identity Number?), which was recently launched on Aarhus Municipality's the free app Opdag Aarhus.
"In connection with the elective course Humanistic Innovation, we collaborated with SHAPE, who gave us an assignment. Through our work, we realized that we ourselves found it difficult to decide which words to use, what opinions could be expressed and what could be said without being privilege-blind. We therefore wanted to create an informative and free conversation space. A conversation space that would involve citizens and engage them in political conversations and debates." - Julie Laura Risager
The app consists of a digital map, where you can discover Aarhus through a variety of topics including nature, history, art, and routes etc. Through the five stops of the route, users will be presented with facts and perspectives from the debate on gender neutral identity numbers in Denmark and will be asked questions to debate:
"We hope that our project can differ from other projects, because our aim is not to influence in any way; the aim is solely to contribute to building a bridge between diverging opinions through dialogue." - Lukas Oliver Lindgren
