New publication: To Care for the Possible

In a recently published book chapter, SHAPE researchers explore the concept of 'care' based on experiences from a project on digital communication between vulnerable children and young people and their social workers.

The research and design project 'Teledialogue' aimed to strengthen the relationship and create more frequent dialogue between children in care and their municipal caseworkers through digital communication such as video conferencing, chat and text messaging. Based on the project, the chapter suggests that care and trust between child and caseworker is manifested in new ways - and perhaps even strengthened - through digital communication.
